PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a capture tracking method, a capture tracking mechanism and a capture tracking system in optical space communication which can capture a distant station in optical space communication with high accuracy and track a captured station.SOLUTION: A capture tracking mechanism 10 according to the present invention comprises an optical antenna unit 20 which transmits a pulse-like initial capture light 50 and receives a reflected initial capture light 60 which is a reflected ray of the initial capture light 50; an initial capture unit 30 which generates and outputs an initial capture light 50 and, when a reflected initial capture light 60 is detected, generates and outputs a detection signal; and a control unit 40 which scans the initial capture light 50 in prescribed orbit at the time of initial capture and, when a detection signal from the initial capture unit 30 is input, transitions from initial capture to capture tracking.
