PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To automate the settlement of account of the bill of products and shorten the time required for the settlement of account when a purchaser purchases the products displayed in a store.;SOLUTION: The self shopping system includes a portable terminal installation rest used for placing a portable terminal 2 in a shopping cart 1; and a space used for photographing products from the portable terminal 2 placed on the portable terminal installation rest. Upon detecting that there are products in the space, the portable terminal 2 transmits, to a management server 3, an image photographed by the own camera.
