PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a production method of a rare earth-iron-based alloy material capable of producing the homogeneous thin belt of a rare earth-iron-based alloy which does not contain an α-Fe phase by suppressing the formation of the α-Fe phase.;SOLUTION: A production method of a rare earth-iron-based alloy material comprises: a molten metal preparation step to prepare molten metal 1 containing a rare earth element and iron; and a rapid cooling and solidifying step to produce the thin belt 10 of a rare earth-iron-based alloy by rapidly cooling and solidifying the molten metal poured on the surface of a cooled rotary roll 130.
