PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an astronomical telescope objective lens and the like that have high accuracy of determining a position of a stellar image even in an environment where a change in a temperature is large.;SOLUTION: A first aspect according to the present invention relates to an astronomical telescope objective lens having a refractive lens and a transmission type diffraction optical element arranged, and the diffraction optical element employs a plane-parallel plate as a base plate. A second aspect according to the present invention relates to an astronomical telescope objective lens in which a material of the diffraction optical element is composite silica. A third aspect according to the present invention relates to an astronomical telescope objective lens in which a plurality of refractive lenses is included, and when a reciprocal (standardization power) of a standardized focal distance obtained by dividing a focal length of each of the refractive lenses by a focal length of an entire objective lens system is Pi(i=1,2, ...), and a temperature coefficient dn/dT[10-6/°C] of a refractive index of the material of each of the refractive lenses is (dn/dT)i(i=1,2, ...), the astronomical telescope objective lens satisfies the following conditional expression |Σ{Pi*(dn/dT)i)}|≤5.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2015,JPO&INPIT
