PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a grab bucket used for dredging and a method of prevention treatment on a ship for sediment adhesion on the grab bucket used for dredging, aimed at preventing pollution of surrounding waters caused by dripping of sediment adhered on the grab bucket, and preventing decline of dredging efficiency.;SOLUTION: Inner and outer surfaces of a grab bucket used for dredging is covered by a sediment adhesion prevention film made of a synthetic resin with a friction coefficient smaller than that of the bucket. This lowers the apparent frictional resistance against sediment on the inner and outer surfaces of the bucket, enhances the slidability of sediment from the inner and outer surfaces of the bucket, and reduces the amount of sediment adhered on the bucket. As a result, pollution in areas surrounding the dredged area may be prevented, which could take place, for example, if the adhered sediment dripped outside a floating frame for pollution prevention while rotating a boom of dredging machine and returning the bucket to the dredging position after throwing in sediment into a sediment and seawater storage tank.
