PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an aluminum alloy hard foil having high tensile strength and elongation characteristic without impairing productivity and available for an aluminum alloy foil for lithium ion secondary battery positive collector.SOLUTION: An aluminum alloy hard foil having high tensile strength and elongation property can be efficiently manufactured by conducting hot rolling on an aluminum alloy having a composition containing, by mass%, Fe:1.00 to 1.70%, Mn:0.10 to 0.50% and the balance Al with inevitable impurities with the total amount of Cu, Mg, Cr and Zr of 0.05% or less and the total amount of Fe and Mn of 2.0% or less, and having suitably Fe/Mn ratio of 3.5 or more with finish temperature of 200 to 290°C, cold rolling and final cold rolling with rolling reduction from after hot rolling to after final cold rolling and rolling reduction from after intermediate annealing to final cold rolling when intermediate annealing is conducted during cold rolling, which are set at 90.0 to 99.9%, and making foil thickness 5 to 20 m and using process softening during manufacturing.
