PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compact compression vessel capable of reducing the volume of the object to be treated and further whose operation is simple, a volume reduction treatment device and a volume reduction treatment method.SOLUTION: Provided is a compression vessel provided with: a heat-resistant basket storing household waste plastics as the object to be subjected to compression treatment; a heat resistant cover fixed to the basket detachably; and a fixing tool fixing the cover to the basket. The cover has upper face vent holes made up of a plurality of through holes provided on the upper face thereof, and the basket has lower face vent holes made up of a plurality of through holes provided on the bottom face thereof, also provided is a volume reduction treatment device provided with the vessel, and also provided is a volume reduction treatment method using the vessel.
