PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reproduce an image with high texture from one digital image without executing previous learning.SOLUTION: A texture detection device comprises: a saturated region detection part for detecting a saturated region including at least one pixel which forms pixels of a digital image and in which a strength of color signal information is saturated, and a non-saturated region including no pixel with the saturated strength; a region dividing part for detecting a subject in the digital image on the basis of the color signal information, dividing the subject into subject regions and correcting a subject region to which the saturated region corresponds, by merging the subject region with a neighboring subject region of the same subject; and a subject color estimation part for restoring a subject color from a strength of color signal information of a pixel corresponding to the non-saturated region within the subject region regarding the saturated strength of the color signal information of the pixel corresponding to the saturated region within the corrected subject region.
