PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a screening method of a substance that inhibits protein-protein interactions.SOLUTION: A screening method includes the steps of: (a) manufacturing a protein chip that has a spot in which a sol-gel material and a protein are mixed immobilized; (b) allowing the protein chip to react with a protein having an ability to bind to the protein immobilized in the chip in the presence of a candidate substance that inhibits the binding; and (c) measuring binding between the protein immobilized in the chip and the protein having the ability to bind to the immobilized protein, and selecting a candidate substance in which the protein-protein interaction is inhibited as a substance inhibiting the protein-protein interaction in comparison with the protein-protein interaction in a case where the candidate substance is not present.
