PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide: hyaluronic acid synthesis promotor by using fractions or components obtained from Oroxylum indicum and high in safety; a HAS2 mRNA expression promotor by using fractions or components obtained from Oroxylum indicum and high in safety; a pharmaceutical, food product or cosmetic which contains hyaluronic acid synthesis promotor of the invention and has hyaluronic acid synthesis promoting action; and a pharmaceutical, food product or cosmetic which contains the HAS2 mRNA expression promotor of the invention and has HAS2 mRNA expression promoting action.SOLUTION: A hyaluronic acid synthesis promotor and HAS2 mRNA expression promotor of the invention contain: first fractions that are fractions extracted from a seed of Oroxylum indicum by aqueous organic solvent and include at least chrysin; and other fractions or chrysin obtained by refining the first fractions, as active ingredients. The invention further provides a pharmaceutical, food product or cosmetic that contains the hyaluronic acid synthesis promotor or HAS2 mRNA expression promotor of the invention.
