The method involves measuring input data from an aircraft, and determining distribution of power to electric energy sources (3, 3', 4, 5) in real time to provide electric power to an electric supply network (21), where the aircraft comprises thermal engines (2, 2') and a mechanical power transmission system (1). A setpoint of the electric energy sources is determined in real time such that the electric energy sources feed the electric supply network after distribution of the power. The setpoint is applied in real time to the electric energy sources. The input data is selected from a group consisting of a flight phase, an operating condition, environment, electric energy requirement and/or mechanical energy requirement of the aircraft. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a device for managing electric energy sources of an aircraft (2) an aircraft.
