The method involves controlling reheating (311) of a battery of a vehicle i.e. car such as electric car, according to a value of a parameter of a charge state of the battery. The reheating of the battery is provided as a function of an operating condition of the vehicle. A value of expected temperature of the battery is determined if no reheating is carried out, where the expected temperature value is determined according to a value of current temperature of the battery, value of outside temperature and value of moment of beginning of a mission. An independent claim is also included for a battery managing device.
