Method for diagnosing post-processing located on exhaust line of engine of car, involves carrying out injection phase such that predetermined quantity appears as discontinuous hydrocarbon flow at entrance of post-processing system
The method involves leveling a hydrocarbons injection phase (E1) with cylinders of an engine such that a predetermined quantity of hydrocarbons is discharged from the injection phase into an entrance of a post-processing system. An exothermic reaction of the post-processing system is analyzed in a diagnosis phase (E2) to determine a functional status or failing state of the post-processing system. The injection phase is carried out in a split way such that the predetermined quantity appears as a discontinuous hydrocarbon flow at the entrance of post-processing system. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a device for diagnosing a post-processing system located on an exhaust line of an engine of a car (2) a computer program comprising set of instructions for performing a method for diagnosing a post-processing system located on an exhaust line of an engine of a car.
