Metering system for metering reducing agent i.e. ammonia to selective catalytic reduction device in combustion engine of car, has buffer unit connected to inlet conduit by bypass line, to limit pressure drop of ammonia in inlet duct
The system (10) has a reservoir (16) for storing a reducing agent (12) i.e. ammonia, and a metering unit for metering and injecting a quantity of ammonia in gaseous form to a selective catalytic reduction (SCR) device (14). An inlet conduit (34) connects the reservoir to an inlet of the metering unit, and an outlet conduit (36) connects an outlet of the metering unit to the SCR device. A passive type buffer unit (40) is connected to the inlet conduit by a bypass line (42), where the buffer unit is designed to limit the pressure drop of the ammonia in the inlet duct.
