The heat exchanger (1) has pipes (6) which are arranged between collecting units (2,3). The ends of pipes are received in openings (7) of collecting units so that the pipes are firmly connected with collecting units. The collecting unit is equipped with upper portion and base portion. The opening is surrounded by opening edge which is formed with projections. The recesses (9a,9b) are formed at end regions of each pipe. The projections are engaged with recesses such that the connection of pipe in collecting unit is enabled.
