The local coil (106) has two shim coils (SSP1,SSP2), from which two of the shim coils are extended side by side in a plane. The local coil is provided with one or two breast wells (BT1,BT2) for receiving a female breast. The shim coils of the shoulder coil are arranged in another plane outside an area provided for receiving a shoulder of a patient. The direction lateral to the shoulder of the patient is arranged in a position of the local coil in a magnetic resonance apparatus in horizontal.
