The system has a metallic heat sink (4) that is provided with an electrically insulating coating portion (3) in the contact surface of cells (1). A weld/soldering seam (7) is arranged between the heat sink and a metallic end cap (6) and provided in an uncoated portion (4.1) of heat sink. An adhesive bead (5) of an electrically insulating adhesive portion (2.1) is arranged between the uncoated portion arranged close to the cell and a portion of the uncoated portion. An independent claim is included for a method for manufacturing battery system.
