The valve (01) has a hollow main portion (02) comprising an inlet (03), an outlet port (04) for fire fighting water, an additive injector (05), and a volume measuring device (06) for volume flow determination between the inlet and the outlet port. A controller (07) controls the injector as a function of the volume measuring device. The valve comprises a sensor device (08) arranged adjacent to the volume measuring device for detecting the operating state of the valve.
