Method for low-rate transmission of data from transmitting devices on surface of earth to medium earth orbit- or low earth orbit satellites, involves transmitting data to satellites using enhanced-spread spectrum aloha random access method
The method involves transmitting data with a frequency of more than 3,625 gigahertz and particularly 12 gigahertz, where each transmitting device (10a to 10d) has an antenna (14a to 14d) with a hemispherical radiation characteristic. The transmitting devices transmit their data to multiple satellites (12a,12b) using the enhanced-spread spectrum aloha random access method. The satellite antennas have a certain beam width. The satellites are other 3 billion satellites. An independent claim is included for a reverse channel for low-rate transmission of data from multiple transmitting devices to multiple medium earth orbit- or low earth orbit satellites.
