Impregnated paper comprises a base paper, which is impregnated at least on one side with a water-based impregnating solution comprising: an aqueous dispersion of a styrene-ethyl-butyl acrylate copolymer having a glass transition temperature of 0-40[deg] C, an aqueous dispersion of a styrene-acrylate copolymer having a glass transition temperature of 30-80[deg] C, an aqueous solution of the hydrophobically modified polymer as polyvinyl butyral, and a synthetic or natural thickener.
