The method involves synchronously movably arranging ultrasound transmitters (8) and ultrasound receivers (9) opposite to each other in a pair on both sides of a carbon fiber reinforced plastic composite material. A degree of impregnation of fibers is determined by a sound scanning method. The degree of impregnation of the fibers is tested using the arrangement of the ultrasound transmitters and the ultrasound receivers during manufacturing the plastic composite material. The plastic composite material is produced by a film-stacking method using a device with a stamper (2) and/or a die (6). An independent claim is also included for a device for manufacturing a carbon fiber reinforced plastic composite material.
