The method involves detecting relative rotational motion between radiation sources (C2, C4) of a computer tomography (CT) system (C1) and an investigation object based on measurement data. The measurement data is used by a back projection part for an iterative image reconstruction. The image data is computed by forward projection based on artificial measurement data. The artificial measurement data is computed using the forward projection. Number of the measurement data is reduced. Difference between the reduced measurement data and the artificial measurement data is determined. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a computing unit (2) a CT system (3) a computer program comprising a set of instructions to reconstruct image data (4) a data carrier.
