Initiator for internal combustion engine of vehicle e.g. motor car, has state detection unit that is provided for detecting harming state of semiconductor switch and for displaying detected harming state over control line
The initiator has a power-output stage (101) that is provided with a semiconductor switch (103) for switching an electric machine (105) over a control line (107). A state detection unit is provided for detecting a harming state of the semiconductor switch and for displaying the detected harming state over the control line. The state detection unit is provided with a potential divider (109). An independent claim is included for an initiator system.
