The device (1) has a heat circuit device (2) increasing internal energy of a working medium based on heat energy (38), where the working medium flows through the heat circuit device. An energy transmission unit i.e. suction jet pump (8), transfers a part of the internal energy of the working medium to a cold circuit device (3) for driving the cold circuit device. A thermodynamic auxiliary energy source (39) increases the internal energy of the working medium based on thermodynamic auxiliary energy, and comprises a compressor compressing the working medium in a gas phase. The working medium consists of high pressure water vapor (6), low pressure water vapor (16), mixture vapor (18), mixture pressure water (22), low pressure water (28) and high pressure water (30). An independent claim is also included for a combustion engine.
