The device (1) has an inductor (5) creating an electromagnetic alternating field, and directly and indirectly heating a contact surface. The contact surface is attached to a cold carrier-mixture (6) on which an ice particle is accumulated. The contact surface is partially made of an electrical conductive material and a ferromagnetic material. A heating element is made of and/or coated with the electrical conductive material and/or ferromagnetic material. The heating element is connected to the contact surface at which ice particle settles. An independent claim is also included for a method for producing ice slurry in a cold carrier-mixture.
