The method involves determining if a bypass of an obstacle (104) located in the driving direction ahead of the vehicle (102) is required to avoid a collision with the obstacle based on environmental data and vehicle data. An evasion trajectory (108) suitable for bypassing the obstacle is determined for the vehicle when the bypassing of the obstacle is required. The information is provided for displaying the evasion trajectory at an interface to a display device (100) of the vehicle. Independent claims are included for the following: (1) a device for displaying an evasion trajectory for collision avoidance for a vehicle; and (2) a computer program product for executing an evasion trajectory displaying method.
