Method for reconstructing image data based on projection data set, involves reconstructing start-image data based on projection data set with redundant projection data, where iterative reconstruction method is performed with iteration step
The method involves reconstructing a start-image data based on a projection data set (p-m) with the redundant projection data. An iterative reconstruction method is performed with an iteration step, where the projection data set is formed based on a projection data portion. The redundant projection data is provided in the projection data set for the projection data portion. A synthetic projection data set is generated based on the image data of the current iteration. A difference-projection data set is formed based on the projection data portion of the projection data set and the projection data portion of the synthetic projection data set. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a method for generating an image data of an inside of an object by an X-ray computed tomography system; (2) an image reconstruction device for reconstructing the image data of an object; (3) an X-ray computed tomography system with an X-ray source; and (4) a computer program product directly loaded with program code portions in a memory of a programmable image reconstruction device.
