The device (1) has bearing elements (4) comprising an actuator as an oscillator (6), which is controlled by a control unit (7). The oscillator is triggered such that the oscillator generates oscillations i.e. sine wave oscillations, whose frequencies are superimposed based on order spectrum of driving noise. The actuator is accommodated in a housing and arranged between a drive (2) and a subframe (12) in a front area of a motor vehicle (3). The bearing elements are provided in a body (5) of the motor vehicle. The bearing elements are designed as a bearing element of a motor bearing, a gear storage bearing, a torque support, a differential bearing, a rear axle differential bearing and/or a drive shaft bearing as a drive shaft bearing. The actuator is designed as electrical-, electromagnetic-, electro-dynamic-, piezoelectric-, pneumatic- and/or hydraulic actuator. An independent claim is also included for a method for optimizing noise in a passenger compartment, an internal combustion engine and/or an electric motor of a motor vehicle as a drive and a drive strand subordinate to the drive.
