The device (10) has reflecting devices (14, 15) reflecting light emitted by projection devices (12, 13). A control unit (18) drives the projection devices and/or the reflecting devices for simulating an upcoming trip of a motor vehicle depending on parameters, which are definable for the motor vehicle. The control unit triggers the projection devices such that light intensity of each projection device is changeable. The projection devices are individually controllable by the control unit. The reflecting devices are individually controllable by the control unit.
