Structural component for a mechanically stressed device for vehicles, has relief recess for relief of mechanical expansion of structure component, and is arranged in region adjacent transition portion in wall portions
The structural component (10) has one and another wall portions (20,30) which are oriented differently, and a transition portion (40) is arranged between the wall portions. A relief recess for relief of mechanical expansion of the structure component is arranged in the region adjacent the transition portion in the wall portions. The relief recess is formed in a dell-shape, particularly with a continuous or substantially continuous variation of the thickness of the corresponding wall portions. An independent claim is included for a method for producing a structural component.
