The electromotive propelled brush apparatus has several rotary brushes which are rotated in vertical axis of rotation. The rotary brushes are arranged in two rows with respect to a common sliding direction of the brush apparatus and are arranged behind one another. The free-ending loops of the brushes are incorporated between the pile fibers of a carpet (14) for providing a cleaning agent between the pile fibers of the carpet. The brushes are arranged in normal direction with respect to displacement of apparatus.
