Water supply plant installed in e.g. industry, has control unit that is formed such that water demand of water distribution network is controlled, and turbine that is operated using generator during power supply function
The water supply plant has a pressure line (10) that is provided for passing the water derived from a water reservoir (6) to a water reservoir (11). A return line (16,18) is provided for directing the water from the water reservoir (11) provided above a turbine (17) into the water reservoir (6). A control unit (20) is formed such that water demand of water distribution network (13) is controlled. The water is pumped into the water reservoir (11) during energy storage function, while the turbine is operated using a generator (19) during power supply function. Independent claims are included for the following: (1) a method for operating water supply plant; (2) a computer-readable medium storing program for operating water supply plant; (3) a method for supplying water to water supply plant and electrical power to power supply system; and (4) a computer-readable medium storing program for supplying water to water supply plant and electrical power to power supply system.
