Method for testing of balls, involves providing final dimension testing device with upper scanning element and lower scanning element which are arranged to each other at distance in measuring direction
The method involves providing a final dimension testing device (11) with an upper scanning element (12) and a lower scanning element (13) which are arranged to each other at a distance in a measuring direction (Z), where the upper scanning element has a flat button surface (26). A ball (30) is placed in a holding device (31) between the scanning elements. The ball is contacted with the flat button surface of the upper scanning element. The contacting of the ball or a reference surface (35) of the holding device has a predetermined distance to the ball with the lower scanning element. Independent claims are included for the following: (1) a measuring device for testing of balls; and (2) a holding device for a ball to be tested, particularly for use with a final dimension testing device.
