Method for storing electrical energy in natural storage, involves passing water over turbines of hydropower plant or pumped storage power plant from reservoirs, when required, so that potential energy is converted into electrical energy
The method involves pumping the water of a reservoir (3) of a hydropower plant or pumped storage power plant (2) to a higher natural memory (4) by using electrical energy, where electrical energy is stored in form of potential energy of an ice layer (5). The ice layer is partially or completely melts under suitable environmental conditions, for forming water, which flows back into the reservoir. The water is passed over one or more turbines of the hydropower plant or pumped storage power plant from the reservoirs, when required, so that the potential energy is converted into electrical energy.
