Drive circuit for driving electric motor, particularly servomotor, comprises current detector assigned to current source, which detects current flow through current source, and microcontroller that has sleep mode with low power consumption
The drive circuit (1) comprises a switching element (5), with which a current source (6) is connected to ground through a resistor (7,8). A microcontroller drives the electric motor depending on the switching position of the switching element. The circuit has a current detector (11) assigned to the current source, which detects the current flow through the current source. The microcontroller comprises a sleep mode with low power consumption, which is terminated by a wake-up signal (10). The wake-up signal for the microcontroller is applied in the presence of a current at the current detector.
