Safety device for climbing rope, has clasping opening that is designed as bracket, where clamping function is released by manual operation of bracket such that climbing rope is further transported and is held in transport position
The safety device has a metal body with a support surface, and a clasping opening for a carabiner, with which the safety device is fixed to a climbing harness. The clasping opening is designed as a bracket. The support surface is pulled on the suspended carabiner, and a brake rope between the carabiner body and the safety device is disconnected through the shape of the safety device during strain on the load rope. The clamping function is released by manual operation of the bracket such that the climbing rope is further transported and is held in a transport position.
