A method for producing a component (14) by means of a combination of a press hardening process and an internal high-pressure forming method, in which the component (14) to an outlet temperature, is heated in a shaping tool (10) to be reshaped, wherein the component (14) for this purpose with a gaseous or liquid forming medium is acted upon from the inside and, during or after the shaping is cooled, characterized in that the component (14) is subjected to different cooling rates for the realization of a locally different hardness values in the component (14).
