The method comprises: providing a base (10) made of a first metallic material comprising titanium and/or a first titanium alloy; providing a cover plate (20) made of a second metallic material, where the second material comprises gold and platinum and/or a second metal alloy comprising gold or platinum, and the cover plate has a thickness (E) of = 0.5 mm; soldering the cover plate on the base with a solder for brazing titanium with gold or platinum to form a bi-metal blank; and shaping and machining the blank to provide a final shape to a dressing component (100). The method comprises: providing a base (10) made of a first metallic material comprising titanium and/or a first titanium alloy; providing a cover plate (20) made of a second metallic material, where the second material comprises gold and platinum and/or a second metal alloy comprising gold or platinum, and the cover plate has a thickness (E) of = 0.5 mm; soldering the cover plate on the base with a solder for brazing titanium with gold or platinum to form a bi-metal blank; and shaping and machining the blank to provide a final shape to a dressing component (100). The first alloy and the second alloy have a nickel zero-rate. The shaping and machining step is performed by deforming, stamping and/or deep drawing the bi-metal blank. The bi-metal blank locally removes the cover plate. The base is selected in a form of a profile (11). The cover plate is prefabricated with a cutout and/or a through opening. The base and the cover plate are embossed with pins before the soldering step for developing a hollow geometric before the brazing operation and for maintaining the base and the cover plate relative to each other during said the brazing operation. The cover plate and the base are brazed at their common contact surface. The cover plate and the base are brazed at only a portion of a surface of the cover plate facing the base and/or at only a part of a surface of the base facing the cover plate. An independent claim is included for a dressing component.
