A method for recovery of benthic communities of the Barents Sea coastal zone after dredging, including the study of living conditions, the number, species diversity, benthic distribution boundaries on the dredging site, the allocation priority benthic species, which presumably will have a maximum of anthropogenic impact during dredging, the determination means compensation for the alleged damage, the optimal period of work, characterized that after dredging install artificial habitats for benthic focused on priority settlement of mussel populations in the period, taking into account the reproductive cycle of mussels, in areas where habitat conditions are optimal for the development of mussels and other benthic species being recovered, with a depth of 5-10 m, with good water exchange and in the presence of the closest distance cans natural populations mussels.
