The present invention relates to a method of decomposing a dye under visible light irradiation using a visible light sensitive metal/metal oxide nanocomposite by an electrochemically active biofilm and an electron donor. According to the present invention, since a metal/metal oxide nanocomposite is prepared using an electrochemically active biofilm and an electron donor; the metal/metal oxide nanocomposite has the effects where any toxic chemical material, an expensive capping agent or a reducing agent, a slow hydro-thermal treatment and external energy input are not required, such that excellent photocatalytic performance rapidly exhibits decomposed dye under visible light (500 nm) irradiation.
