Disclosed are a method and a system for searching an OWL-S-based service, which can improve search efficiency in an OWL-S-based semantic web service. To achieve this, the present invention provides the method for searching an OWL-S-based service, comprising the steps of: (a) structuring ontology papers to an ontology pattern which is a tree structure form, structuring the ontology pattern to query patterns, and storing the ontology pattern and the query patterns in a cache database, respectively; and (b) searching the query patterns stored in the cache database and responding to a user`s query, when the user requests the query. Therefore, the present invention can search query patterns pre-stored as query results from a database without searching the entire ontology service and can provide a user with the query patterns not to perform an unnecessary search, thereby significantly raising query processing speed.
