A maximum power point tracking method of a grid-connected photovoltaic inverter according to the present invention includes: a current power calculating step for calculating the current power (P_Solar) of a solar battery by measuring the voltage (V_Solar) and current (I_Solar) of the solar battery which processes an average at regular intervals; a ripple power calculating step for calculating a ripple power (P_Ripple) in order to determine minimum power (P_min) by using the calculated current power (P_Solar); a direction determining step for determining a direction which is the operation direction of a maximum power point tracking (MPPT) by comparing the current power (P_Solar) with determined maximum power (P_Max); and a maximum power point tracking step for tracking a maximum power point by constantly decreasing or increasing a DC Link reference voltage (V_DCLink_Ref) or constantly decreasing or increasing an MPPT_Duty according to the direction which is determined as 0 or 1.
