The present invention relates to a sauce composition for meat containing Garcinia cambogia bark extract and a method for preparing the same. The Garcinia cambogia bark extract, which is an active ingredient of the sauce composition for meat according to the present invention, can suppress the absorption of fat in the meat into the body, suppress fat accumulation due to the intake of excessive carbohydrates, and lower contents of total cholesterol, triglyceride, HDL-cholesterol, and total lipid which are blood lipid components, and thus control hyperlipidemia, high cholesterol, and obesity. Therefore, the sauce composition of the present invention is useful in the preparation of high-functional food.
