An embodiment of the present invention provides a smart device comprising: a display unit having a sensor which can identify a touch point; a motion pattern recognition unit configured to recognize a motion pattern of a touch point on the display unit; a motion pattern registration unit configured to allow the motion pattern, recognized by the motion pattern recognition unit, to correspond to at least one application function information of the smart device and register the motion pattern; and a control unit configured to perform at least one application function according to the function information corresponding to the motion pattern when the motion pattern, recognized from the display unit by the motion pattern recognition unit, is registered in the motion pattern registration unit.
