The present invention relates to a biomarker composition for diagnosing resistance of bortezomib with superoxide dismutase 2 (SOD2) as a medicine for multiple myeloma and to a kit using the same, providing a SOD2 gene, protein expressed from the gene, or the biomarker composition for diagnosing the bortezomib resistance including a particular antibody and the kit for diagnosing bortezomib resistance including the composition. The method for diagnosing bortezomib resistance comprises a step of comparing a control group with the mRNA expression level of the SOD2 gene from samples of patients with multiple myeloma or the measured expression level of protein coded by the SOD2 gene.
