The purpose of the present invention is to provide a break-to-open structure for a break-to-open package, whereby the package can be easily broken open just by bending with the fingers and the contents of the package can be smoothly extracted. According to the present invention, a break-to-open package (10) is bent in a bending direction (G) along a bending part (F) of a flat member (20) so that a break-to-open part (23) of the flat member (20) and a sealing material (40) that has been applied so as to cover the break-to-open part (23) are broken open, and so that the sealing material (40) is pierced from the inside by a protruding part (24) so as to be broken open. The break-to-open part (23) and the sealing material (40) can thereby be broken open to a size that enables easy extraction of the contents (32) of the break-to-open package (10). After the break-to-open package (10) has been broken open, a storage part (30) is deformed by the bending action of the flat member (20) such that the storage part (30) is crushed, and the required amount of the contents (32) stored in the storage part (30) are pushed out of the break-to-open part (23) for use.
