A method for assisting students in reviewing learned content at an optimal time point comprises the following steps: (1) printing a set of specially designed indication scheme on the same page or multiple pages; (2) before study, filling a study content indication; (3) during study, after the first-time study of each part of the learned content, instantly reviewing the learned content once, and then full-filling a review time point indication according to a full-filling method after the first-time study in the specially designed full-filling scheme; (4) during review each day, selecting one of two specially designed retrieval schemes to retrieve the content to be reviewed on that day, successively reviewing the corresponding each part of the content according to a retrieval result, and after review of each part of the content, full-filling a review time point indication according to a post-review full-filling method in the specially designed full-filling scheme; and (5) after a learning phase, filling the last learned content and the last review time to a deadline date column using a start-stop indication, reviewing the learned content each day till the date, and after that date, stopping reviewing the learned content in the phase. Also provided is a writing material called "reviewing ruler" and having a shape similar to that of an ordinary ruler.
