The present invention contemplates a method for evaluating the effectiveness of embryonic culture media, used in fertilization and in vitro culture, based on the ability of embryos to join epidermal growth factors, characterized in that it comprises the following stages: a) obtaining non-human embryos by in vitro or in vivo fertilization, b) development of the embryos up to the blastocyst stage, c) culture of the embryos obtained in a) and b) in a culture medium with epidermal growth factors conjugated to fluorochrome and d) measurement of the amount of growth factor conjugated to fluorochrome, bound to the surface of the embryos cultured in c), where a higher fluorescence intensity is related to optimal culture conditions.
