Materials for the selective recognition of mycotoxins Alternaria (alternariol and alternariol monomethyl ether). # The alternariol and monomethyl ether aternariol are two of the toxins produced in greater Alternaria fungal family. Are frequently found in food and continued use can have negative effects on human health so that the development of effective screening methods to avoid their introduction into the food chain is important. In this invention a method for the preparation of organic polymeric materials which act as selective adsorbents and alternariol alternariol monomethyl ether described. The polymers used as template molecules structurally analogous to mycotoxins, simple to prepare, robust and cheap.
