A method for predicting the development of cardiorenal syndrome in patients with chronic heart failure and diabetes insular of type 2 includes determination of glomerular filtration rate. For the patients with glomerular filtration rate in the range 60-89 ml / min, further determination of concentration of the proinflammatory cytokine IL-1β and anti - inflammatory IL-10 is carried out, and growth of concentrations of IL-1β and decrease of the concentration of IL-10 compared to control measurements, along with renal dysfunction growth of cardiac decompensation is predicted.
